About Meals on Wheels Community Services Northern Cape

Meals on Wheels Community Services Northern Cape is a registered non-governmental organisation (NGO) with the Department of Social Development, dedicated to fighting hunger and restoring dignity — one meal at a time.

We believe that no person should go to bed hungry.

Since the founding of Meals on Wheels Community Services South Africa in 1964 — an organisation with which we are proudly affiliated— the Northern Cape branch has grown from strength to strength. While we have made meaningful strides, the vast and often underserved areas of the Northern Cape remind us that there is still much to be done.

Driven by compassion and a sense of community, we serve not just meals, but also hope and connection to the most vulnerable among us — the elderly, the sick, children, and families in crisis.

Through strategic partnerships, dedicated volunteers, and unwavering faith in a better tomorrow, we continue to be charity in motion, transforming lives across our province.

At Meals on Wheels Community Services Northern Cape, we believe that no person should go to bed hungry, isolated, or forgotten. In one of South Africa's most vast and economically challenged regions, we serve vulnerable individuals with nutritious meals, human connection, and compassionate care.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: Fighting Hunger, Restoring Dignity, and Transforming Lives through Charity in Motion.

Every day, our team of staff, volunteers, and partners works together to deliver thousands of hot, nutritious meals directly to the homes of the elderly, disabled, and food-insecure families throughout the Northern Cape. But it’s not just about food — it’s about human contact, emotional support, and restoring hope where it may have faded.

Together with our donors and community partners, we are creating a movement of kindness, ensuring that the most vulnerable among us are not left behind.
